hey sleeper would it be weird if i started calling the eddie here "dad" bc i feel like itd be weird
like i kind of want to but i also kind of don't? what if dad back home somehow finds out? that'd crush him, right? we both know he has self-esteem issues
If it feels right, you should do it. We can deal with any hurt feelings when that trouble shows up.
Eddie isn't quite as delicate as you might think. Either one. Although I did spend some time bonded with your father before I met you. We had to get Venom back.
I guess you're right. I'm just paranoid that if dad ever comes here I'll make a dumb mistake and drive him away. Or I'll drive this Eddie away. I don't know.
[At some point before Christmas, a package for Sleeper arrives at the Brocks' Little Love home. Inside is a BPA-free half-gallon-sized bucket, a large box of high quality dark chocolates, and an adjustable phone tripod.
There's also a simple printed card that says "Merry Christmas - Jason"]
I'll take care of the bloodstain. You take care of your friend.
I'll probably stick around through the new year, just in case. He's just got some personal stuff to deal with. I don't think asking him to talk about it will help. It's more the kind of thing where you just need to not be alone.
[Right after a melee, Jason calls out to Sleeper through their bond. It's a warning that the D'Amicos are coming back and that dinner is served if they're in the mood for it]
[Welp. Another message is sent shortly after the body disposal one. Jason needs to be fetched at a junkyard at the edge of the city. He's too injured to get back on his motorcycle]
So weird question, if I were to start a cat cafe at some point, you know like the kind that takes in homeless cats in hopes to have people see how cute they are? Would you be willing to help me do some promotion for it?
Giving homeless cats a taste of the good life is always a worthy cause. I even know some people who might be able to help with publicity. They do the photography and website support for the Descendant, but Mark and I are also working on a cat calendar for one of the rescue coalitions in Central.
[Figuring out what a host should give to his Klyntar partner is tricky as they can read his mind at anytime. But Jason wants to gift Sleeper something anyway as an extra sign of appreciation for all their support and companionship. Plus, he feels a little guilty for how often he needs Sleeper’s healing ability.
So for Christmas, Sleeper can find at the penthouse near one of their favorite napping spots three boxes. One is large box of gourmet dark chocolates. The second is a collection of vinyl albums by the Kinks. The third box is a vinyl record player.
In addition, Jason’s treating Sleeper to a large order of sashimi for dinner]

just FYI in case you wonder why we went upstairs and disappeared. and why theres a huge bloodstain in the safehouse.
[ and then, another text a little bit later ]
i think Jason's having a rough time this month. he already seemed kind of down and then this happens and he's gotta care for a couple kids in crisis.
if u need to spend more time with him to cheer him up I'm OK with it. it would suck to make you teleport back and forth.
